After a 10 year war between the hungarian king Ioannes Zapolya and emperor Ferdinand, in the 24th of February 1538 they signed the peace at Nagyvarad, after what Transylvania came under the rule of Ioannes Zapolya, and the coins minted after this year at Klausenburg and Hermannstadt are considered by the numismatic literature as Transylvanian coins. On these 10 ducat (1540), 6 ducat (1540), and one ducat (1538-1540) coins on the obv. we can see the Madonna with  the Child, and on the rev. St. Ladislaus.
Ladislau.
