In acest mic catalog voi incerca sa prezint cat mai multe dintre aceste monede deosebite. Monedele prezentate aici nu sunt de vanzare!

Coin catalogue and pages from the history of Transylvania (Siebenbürgen)

We have currently the permission from some private collectors and 7 major auctioneers to publish the pictures of their Transylvanian coins, and the realized prices. New coins and coin prices are added to the database almost on a daily basis. Also if you have seen a forgery on auction, you can notify us, and we will publish it!

Any contribution is welcomed!

Please use the menu from the right side to select the prince who’s coins you would like to see. The coins are listed by year and type. If you see incorrect data, or you would like to add some info, on most of the pages you can wite comments (these will go live only after an administrator will check them).

If you have a transylvanian coin and you don’t know what is the meaning of the letters and/or symbols which represent the mint mark, please see this page.

If you are searching or want to ID a coin, you can use the search function, and then browse through the results.

The Resch number which you see by some of the coins is reference to the “Adolf Resch – Siebenbürgische Münzen und Medaillen von 1538 bis zur Gegenwart, Hermannstadt, 1901“ catalogue.
